About Streamside

Streamside is located in the picturesque Sussex Downs which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within the South Downs National Park.  On the site's southern boundary is a class 1 stream, fed by the chalk springs higher up the valley, with farm land to the northern and western boundaries. The site is accessed from the Coombes Road some 0.5 miles north of the A27. The site consist of a single purpose-built building with grounds to the rear for camping and activities with access, (upon request), to the adjacent farm land. Streamside is open all year round.

Within a 5 minute walk from Streamside is the River Adur, which is tidal at this point, on which our fully equipped boat compound is located. This stretch of the Adur is ideal for sailing, kayaking and raft building
.

“First heard about Streamside through another Scout leader.  I took my Scouts there and they loved it. We will be coming back.”

“What a great little site. The views are stunning. We had a nice chilled cub camp here.”

“It is a great place to bring Beavers, whether camping or staying in the bunk rooms.  Ours had so much fun bringing the firewood from the front  to keep the bonfire going!”
